Thirteen candidates are elected to the Boston City Council.

All four incumbents – Ayanna Pressley (37,532), Felix Arroyo (35,483), John Connolly (32,827), and Stephen Murphy (26,730) – are reelected to at-large positions on the Boston City Council. Eight incumbents running for district seats are reelected – Tito Jackson, Salvatore Lamattina, William Linehan, Charles Yancey, Rob Consalvo, John Tobin Jr., Michael Ross, Mark Ciommo. Newcomer Frank Baker is elected to the open seat in District 3. 63,009 residents vote, 18.1% of registered voters. Former Councilor Michael Flaherty finishes fifth (25,805).
